Noel was the most wonderful neighbour and friend since I met him and Pat and their young family at the time , Patrice , Noel , Roisín , Deirdre and Adrian when we lived nearby . We will all miss his sound advice and guidance . He was a wonderful role model caring and striving for his family all his life . I feel lucky and honoured to be a friend . May he Rest In Peace, rewarded for his goodness and kindness in life, granted a very special place in his new found heavenly home, to share in that everlasting heavenly peace, and joy, reunited with all his loved ones gone before, after a fulfilling Christian life, of which Noel justly deserves. He was a gentleman, upright, honourable, friendly, and obliging when the need arose, I knew him through my Sister, Betty OConnor, who’s husband Phillip, were serving together in Bandon Garda Station, and was at my sisters wedding. He had a great stature of a man, and yet that imposing figure dress in uniform, was a gentle giant when carrying out his work on the ground, he had a decency of fairness, and always gave the second chance, which is fair enough, I know, he did a very practical, but yet sensible decision for a friend of mine, who was forever greatful to Noel. He was a wonderful provider to his family, whom he loved dearly and undoubtedly very proud of you all, and together with your mother, made many sacrifices to ensure you all got the opportunity to develop your God given talents , and must have been a sense of much satisfaction to them both to see you all achieve your goals.May the lord bless and comfort Noel, and all of you, who are grieving his loss. The memories, are golden, and beautiful now, and forever.
