Dear Mary,
I was so sorry to hear of Noel’s death. So many years have passed since we last met but the memories of Noel will always be bright, happy full of music and laughter. He will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
May he Rest In Peace.
My brother will say Mass in his memory.

I rang you today Noel to wish you a Happy Birthday and my heart sank when the number did not connect. Now I know why. May you rest in peace my old friend since the 1980s when we sang together in the Flying Scapulars. The Carmelites will keep you in their prayers and usher you into heaven on the wings of prayer.

I have a photo of Noel playing guitar in the kitchen of my parents' house in Greystones, circa 1989. In the photo, a 12-year-old me is watching intently over his shoulder. He taught me my first four chords that evening ("I'm a rambler, I'm a gambler...") and set me on the way to, so far, 35 years of playing. Thanks Noel - you gave me a precious gift that day. Sending my condolences from Switzerland to the whole family.
