Noel McDonagh

Sincere sympathies to the McDonagh family on the sad passing of your Dad & Grandad, Noel. I came to work in Ballagh in the early 70s and quickly joined the soccer team. Noel was one of the first people to make me feel welcome and over the next few years I had the pleasure of watching him score wonder goals while I could only kick lads ! May you rest in peace, Noel.

So glad to have known Noel, mostly because of the Legend he was at Ballaghaderreen FC.
Captain of the only Ballaghaderreen FC team to win the Roscommon and District League Cup Final in 1975.
Got to know Noel well when we had a 40th reunion of that win and kept in touch since.
A brilliant man and delighted I met you recently and had a great chat of all things Ballaghaderreen FC.
Hope your strike partner Martin Kilgariff from that day in 1975 is there in the heavenly world to greet you.
