Noel was one of a kind, one of life’s true gentlemen, I had the best childhood growing up in Derryharrow where we as a family were blessed to be welcomed in the McKiernan household over the past 40+ years! How lucky we were! ( our second home growing up in Derryharrow)! I will treasure the many happy memories for ever! Rest in peace now Noel with your beloved Colette! ❤️ Peter , Nicola , Leanne , Caroline, Neil & Andy my heart goes out to ye all, ye were certainly blessed with the best! Noel was kindhearted, clever, and with a twinkle in his eye. He was also a man of integrity, a gentleman. As kids, we loved going round Derryharrow as we always knew it was going to be great fun & a late one! That part has never changed. I’m so sorry for your loss, McKiernan family. Noel and Colette are simply irreplaceable.

So genuinely sad to hear about Noel, a lovely man. I remember when he and Colette came to Derryharrow first, and how quickly they fitted in with their warmth and wit and kindness. You’d always have an interesting chat with Noel, it usually descended into laughs. Usually about me being an Arsenal fan, when he wasn’t.
