My deepest sympathy to Margaret and family at the sudden passing of Noel, a true gentleman who will be a huge loss....it was an honour to know and spend time with him...he was so patient with me when he brought me around the golf course, trying to teach me, in vain I might add and even got in trouble after he was caught on camera throwing my ball out of the rough for me... and telling me story after story about his children, I don't think I have ever met a prouder father...
Sorry to hear about Noel,s Passing, we sat together in Secondary school in Charlestown late 60s -always a nice guy and friend.

Margaret, Conor, Owen, Niamh.

What can we say we are all devastated for your loss.

He was your husband your father and your rock. For us he was just NOEL larger than life and we loved him so! So glad we got him north of the border for one visit from which we have some great memories. They include the find of a special putter at the car boot sale as well as an antique horse measuring stick for Niamh. There was also the purchase of some clowns by Margaret (for her collection) for which he gave her some ribbing! We also learned a thing or two about the iPad.

Fond memories of his chuckling laugh while he put the world to rights and told you how he by accident ended up joining the guards, all while killing time with his mate before supposedly joining the ESB. As a youngster I remember Noel and Margaret calling to the house and us getting such a kick out of watching out the window at them have a snog before them coming in, and there was always sweets as well! Later I stayed with them in Auburn heights as I started to make my way in life in Athlone RTC. Again thanks for that. Mustn't have cramped their style to much as Conor was born on my birthday the 27th November how prothetic! So proud to be his godfather!

The world is a poorer place without out him and he will be sorely missed. The affection with which he was held by each and every one of his nephews and nieces is but a joy to see. It was always a joy to visit the house and to be welcome most warmly, particularly if he had just made a curry.

This is all so crazy and not right but rest assured we will be there for you all. Words are just not enough.

Love P@M

Love always.
