So sorry to hear of Noel's sad passing. Condolences to Eileen, Benji & all the family. He loved his family. G A A & golf. Always a great competitor in both codes. It never took Noel more than 3 & half hours to play 18 holes. He was no mean golfer.
In his nineties he finished runner up in an Open singles in Naas Golf club

Kill GAA extends its deepest sympathies to the family of Noel Murphy, a devoted member of our club, who has passed away. Our thoughts are with his children, Albert, Jackie, Pansy, and Eileen, and his brother Liam.

Noel's dedication to Kill GAA spanned many years, starting with the 1952 minor team and continuing through his involvement in numerous committees. Notably, he was part of the County Junior team that played in the Leinster final in Croke Park in 1955. He represented the club with great distinction both on and off the field, serving as a selector on both A and B teams on the same day in 1992 when we won the Junior A and B titles. His guidance and advice were always available to players, and his countless contributions over the years have left a lasting impact.

Noel will be greatly missed by all who knew him

Sincere condolences to Jacqueline, Eileen, Pansy and Albert on the passing of your Dad, Noel. What a fantastic character. For thirty five years we’ve enjoyed his great company on the first Sunday morning slot at Naas golf club and what great banter we enjoyed through all those years. There was never a dull moment or a great saying of Noel’s to enlighten any moment. My sympathies also to Liam who also soldiered with us for some time through those years. Like it is for all the Murphy family, part of us has left us too. Rest in Peace our special friend Noel and we will never forget as you drove past us off the tee, more notably in your later years, that it was amazing in fact and “not bad for an auld fellow” or if there was any risk of losing the money, how Jim was taken one side and told “socks down around the ankles”.
