Both Alice and I extend our sincere sympathy on the death of Noel, to Deirdre, Brian, and Brendan!

I first met Noel in the late 50’s. He was one of the first Water Safety Examiners appointed under the “Irish Red Cross”. In 1971, he played a lead role (with others) in placing Water Safety & Lifesaving on a more formal basis here in Ireland and Internationally within WLS & FIS! That “Water Safety Ireland” continues to thrive is testament to his intrinsic motivation and life long interest in the humanitarian goal of saving life from drowning! “Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam”.
