My sincere condolences to Regina and to all the O'Connell and Carney family circles at this time. Noel was a hurling man through and through and had a great love for his native Tipperary. He also loved country music and the dancing and it came as a huge surprise to me when I heard that a song I wrote some years ago was among his special favourites...You Waltzed So Softly Through My Mind. It was sung by Carmel McLoughlin at the end of the Funeral Mass in St Colman's Church, Claremorris, on Friday. Rest in peace, Noel.
