It is with great sadness that I learnt of the unexpected death of Noel ODonohoe. I remember him as a teenager, a very responsible and caring young man, My heartfelt sympathies go to all his family and especially to his parents, Carolyn and Michael.
May he rest in peace

Absolutely devastated to hear about the passing of lovely Noel.
I only knew him a short while through work but he'd always be in such good form and greeting everyone around him. Saying good morning on arrival & wishing us all a great day as he headed off.

He'd nearly be asking us about our weekend plans on a Wednesday which always made me chuckle. He was just such a sweetheart.

Might sound odd to comment on his manners but, to me, he stood out in that regard. Noel was incredibly polite. Every time without fail. You could tell he really had a huge heart for all around him too.

Just reading about him here (& now writing about him myself) is making my heart sink. An incredibly sad time for his lovely family & close friends.....

May he rest in peace.

Heartbreaking! I had the pleasure of becoming friends with Noel during our Chanel days in school.

We always bonded over the fact we were born on the same day, in the same hospital and then going on to become close friends. One of the best memories is of us sharing our 21st birthday party together.

Noel, you were a complete gentleman who would light up the darkest room. You will be forever missed by all the lads.

Had the pleasure of calling Noel my friend for many years in school and the years that followed. He was always positive and always had everyone's best intentions at heart. Truly sad and shocking to hear about Noels passing.

Was really genuinely a sound bloke who got on with absolutely everybody he came across. My school experience was certainly better for having known him.

My condolences to all the family - from my limited interaction with them it was easy to see where Noel picked up the values that made him such a good guy - my thoughts are with all of you at this hard time.

When Noel, swung the leather jacket across the stage and it landed perfectly on the side rail as if it were choreographed to perfection his flawless performance of 'Rock and Roll' ballroom exploded with charisma to the screams of delight in the crowd and the looks of awe from the green room as that jacket fell. It was the culmination of 8 weeks hard work and dedication and Noels dedication to the cause was clear. Noel was one of the first people I met when the Strictly crew met up for the first time and he was instantly likeable. Over the weeks his honesty and openness was refreshing while his dedication was unwavering, he even subbed in on a 2nd dance when one of the others were injured and delivered a speech on behalf of St. Michael's House in front of a packed Bonnington ball room. I'm deeply saddened by his passing and can only imagine how much it weighs on those who knew and loved him best. Ar dheis dé go raibh a hanam

I’m so sad to hear of Noel’s passing. I met him through a Strictly Dancing fundraiser he took part in few years back, and was instantly struck by his kind & caring manner. He just came across as such a gentle man. I’ve no doubt a huge loss to those closest to him, may he rest in eternal peace - and his family know how much of mark he made on those who met him.
