I’m shocked and saddened at the sudden passing of a genuine friend.
I have fond memories going back visiting him in his home in Dunsany along with our good friend John Harrington and since then many sporting and social activities . Only recently we were chatting outside our local farm shop and typical of Noel ‘saying he had no complaints’ but genuinely enquiring about the health of others.
Sadly missed.

Very saddened to hear of Noel's passing. He was an absolute gentleman. We met him at mass every Sunday. We had great chats over the years. He always brought a small treat for our little girl Aoibhe for after mass. His kindness and caring ways will never be forgotten. We'll always remember you in our prayers. An absolute gentleman, even when we were all in the house all those years ago listening to very loud music or staying up all hours watching movies with Dom and the gang.

He gave me some sound advice years ago when I was leaving school and was not quite sure what to do with myself. "Get a job," he said. "It will give you focus. Then you can do what you want after that." I followed his advice. He was right.
