I live in the United States and was fortunate to have met Noel Sullivan twice with my cousin Margaret O'Connor. I first met him when he treated me to lunch at the Winn Hotel in Dublin and the second time a few years later when I treated him to lunch at the Winn Hotel in Dublin. I do get this mixed up but if I have this right my great grandmother and Noel's great grandmother were brother and sister which would make our grandparents first cousins. Please forgive me if I mixed this up a bit. He was a lovely man and I am so happy I was able to meet him. My sympathy to all his family. He told me about all of you and how proud he was of you. May he Rest In Peace.
A real gentleman... He will be missed on Flower Grove.
Helene and family, deepest sympathies on hearing the sad news of your dad's passing. May he rest in peace. Thinking and praying for you during these difficult times. Karl and Marlena
'A life well lived - a race well run.'
We will sorely miss our beloved friend and neighbour, Noel
Mild mannered and humble - with a warm sense of humour
this kind and gentle man would be amazed by the outpouring of sadness at his passing.
As he takes his well-earned rest -awaiting the promised resurrection -
we hope his family and loved-ones ,although heartbroken, will find comfort in knowing
he was universally liked , admired and respected - and is now at peace.

"He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more,
neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)
So sad to hear about Noel....a lovely and gentle person...Rest in peace Noel.
I will miss his company and it is also another lost connection with my Dad. He was always good company and we searched the whole of Dublin for the perfect restaurant! He was a creature of habit so I'm surprised that I managed to get him to such a variety of venues. However, the Bank Bar on College Green was always his favourite.

We had many trips to Croke Park and followed by a few drinks in Houricans afterwards. I always smile when I think of those sunny Sundays and the memories will last forever.

The word gentleman has been used so much in the last few days, he was a 'gentle gentleman'. His passing will leave a gap in many people's lives.

My deepest Sympathies to Helene, Donie, Gene and family
