It was with great sadness that we heard of the untimely death of our colleague and friend Noel O’Sullivan.

Our heart goes out to his family, whom he adored, and did not stop talking about. We know that he will be sorely missed, remembered, cherished and honoured.

In all his work, Noel always remained a dedicated and caring colleague. He carried out his role with great enthusiasm and success. No request for help, no last moment inquiry about any issue was turned down. With great generosity Noel shared his knowledge and time with all his colleagues and beyond. He has truly made a lasting impression. His death is a great loss for the Department. He will be sorely missed.

We have also received numerous expressions of condolence from contractors he liaised with on behalf of the Department.

He truly loved life and lived it to the full. And he always seemed to find the time to indulge his passion for painting.
Noel, may the good Lord have mercy on your gentle soul and may he give those who mourn you the strength to carry on with their lives as you would wish them to do.
May he Rest in Peace

Christine, Eimear and Aaron,
Our heartfelt and deepest sympathy to you all.
Noel will be missed so much in Charlemont, by Marino Boys F.C. (under 12) and St. Vivcents GAA (under 12). He was always at the sideline shouting encouragement to the boys and took great pride in their victories. He was a wonderful husband to Christine and such a proud and caring dad to Aaron and Eimear. Noel was always so kind to our son Ciaran and regularly took Aaron and Ciaran out particularly swimming to Sportslink. Christine also was so excellent as our childminder to Ciaran. Thank you so much Christine and Noel for all your kindness to Ciaran.
I can't believe that you won't be sitting in your car parked at our gate while Aaron calls for Ciaran for the next home soccer match.
May you rest in peace Noel.
