My deepest sympathies to Mr O’ Sullivan’s family and friends. Mr O’ Sullivan was my teacher in primary school in Scoil San Carlo. He was such a wonderful person and a brilliant teacher. I recall him singing songs to me, “Rosanna” by Toto. He made me laugh. He was witty and kind. He’ll be so missed by all. Rest in peace dear Mr O’Sullivan.

I offer my sincere sympathy to you at this extraordinarily difficult time. It was my great privilege to have known Noel and a singular honour to have worked closely with him for 16 years.
Forty years ago, last month, Noel and I with five others, founded San Carlo Senior School in Confey. For the next 26 years Noel lived the values and the attributes that have been enunciated repeatedly in recent days: empathy, wisdom, friendship, collegiality, leadership, skill, courtesy, gentleness, assuredness, selflessness, enthusiasm, genuineness, love for you, his family, and so much more. Noel’s legacy in San Carlo is enormous and he has contributed significantly to what the school has become.
I hope that despite your devastating loss, loving memories of those wonderful days and nights you enjoyed with Noel, will enable you to derive some comfort at this difficult time and will sustain you into the future .

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Noel. Although I didn’t know him well, he was a familiar and much-loved presence at countless hurling matches — always on the sidelines, offering encouragement and support to players of all ages. Knowing all children by name.

He had a wonderful way of engaging with people, especially the younger players, making every child feel included, valued, and part of something special. As an educator and trainer, his vision and dedication gave so many a true sense of belonging.

Sincere condolences to Ruth, Lorna, Niall and all the O'Sullivan family on the sad passing of Noel. It came as a huge shock when the news of Noel's passing was made known. We knew Noel for a long number of years and a nicer man you could not meet. Noel was a big help to me when i served as secretary of the hurling club for a number of years. He also was a big help when I was refereeing and his advice and encouragement was very welcome. His help and advice was always appreciated. Noel always had time for everyone. He also helped out with the camogie team when he could. When he was in charge of the under twenty one hurling team he would get them to play a training match with the camogie team. Gemma says this was instrumental in them winning the championship that year. Thanks for everything Noel. RIP

Whilst I never had the pleasure of Noel being my teacher in Scoil San Carlo, I know many who did. He was an absolute gentleman. I most recently met him in my role as a teacher facilitating students, through his work with Froebel.

I think Noel was one of those people that everyone gravitates towards. Such a kind and lovely man.
