I was a recent friend of Noel , having met him in the back holes of Blainrobe Golf Club. I asked him if he would like to join a loose group to play a four ball every week for large cash prizes, which appealed to his avaricious nature and formed the basis of a motley crew consisting of Noel, Ted, Pat(deceased),Terence,Peter and myself.We had a great time playing world class golf and sorting out world problems .
Noel also accepted my invitation to attend a few sessions of the Parkinson choir held in Ashford. Noel did'nt display any prowess in this area but I think he enjoyed the singing.
Noel was very sorry that Ann had to move into a nursing home and he told me that he missed her company.
I was happy to have met with Noel and I enjoyed his company.
I would like to extend my sympathies to Johanna and the other members of his family on his sad demise.

Noel was a lovely gentleman. I used to meet him in Flannerys on Summerhill and he would always stop for a chat. My sincere sympathies to all the family. May he rest in peace.
