Only saw a bout dear Noels passing. He was my art teacher for all through cpc. I think of him when i paint, i did art 25yrs ago. And had classes with Brenda, and in cpc too with both. I will miss him dearly, it is a sad time. I do paintings now, in retirement and love the gift he gave me. May you be Gods artist Noel and rest with Brenda. It was a privilege to know you.
Very sad to hear of the passing of Noel. My condolences to all the Scullion family. Noel was such a talented man and great teacher who inspired so many of us from his art room in CPC. He was a gentleman to meet on the street with great words of wisdom. Noel and his wife Brenda will always be remembered in the Dowling family. May his gently soul rest in peace.
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Noel. As a young teacher, early in my career, I was lucky to have worked with him for a short time. He was warm, welcoming and supportive .It was not forgotten.

Sincerest condolences to Joe, Jack and all of Noel’s family and friends. Noel taught me in school many moons ago. I often think of him fondly, his wise words, many of which I impart to my students. He was such a fabulous teacher, kind, patient and insightful, always so willing to give of his time. Both he and his beautiful wife, Brenda, brought much joy into the school day, inspiring my love for art. May Noel rest in peace.

Jack and Joe I am so sorry for the loss of your lovely dad Noel .Such a lovely man with exceptional talent and great words of wisdom ,a great loss to us all .
So sad to hear this news. I had very fond memories of Noel as our art teacher. He had just started in CPC and was so encouraging. He saw a positive in everything and gave people the confidence to go outside their comfort zone. He has had a very positive influence on many people’s lives and will be fondly remembered as a true gentleman.
So sad to hear of the loss of Noel. He was my art teacher in secondary school in the early 90s and at a very difficult time in my life his classes were an oasis of positivity and creativity for me. I went on to study art related subjects after secondary school and have made my living from it ever since. So he will always have a special place in my heart.

Sincere Sympathy to Joe and Jack on the sad passing of your dear Dad "Sweetheart" Noel.
Our friendship started when I knock on the door of 1722 one Saturday afternoon - about 43 years ago. From day one, our Friendship blossomed from strength to strength with laughter, character - as we both had no Brother - we were great Brothers to each other.
I really enjoyed all my visits to "288, Halverstown" - visiting Noel, Brenda, Joe and Jack. Unfortunately, I got sick in Spring Season 2018 and I lost touch with the said Noel - but, I was deeply saddened to hear of his untimely passing. Joe and Jack - my contact number is 087 0563191.
May Noel and all our loved ones R.I.P. Amen.
On Thursday 8th May - I have absolutely no doubt that Noel's soul flew through The Gates Of Heaven - as Noel was everybody's True Friend, in life.

I was very saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Noel. He was an incredibly gifted, kind, unique and generous teacher and person.
I came across my first year school report. Noel wrote " no project handed up for assessment !.Otherwise her work was fine''. What a generous comment. I showed absolutely no enthusiasm for art. It just wasn't my strength. Despite this, he treated me the same as the best art pupil's and thats what I really admired about him. We were all the same. There was no shaming, no punishment. Noel was not about correction, he focused on building connection. That was his gift.
I was so amazed at the sculptures he created in Kildare Town and Kilcullen. It was lovely to see him reach his full potential as an artist and sculptor long after his retirement from the art room in CPC.
My deepest sympathy to his sons, his extended family, friends and to his dear friend Vivienne. May he rest in peace. Noel, you were a truly special teacher

We were very sad to hear of Noel’s passing. He was so witty and unassuming and was such a big part of Kilcullen. He contributed so much to the town as a teacher and artist. Our deepest sympathies to Jack and Joe.
So sorry to hear of Noel's untimely death. I knew him as my friend Tempy's brother-in-law and father of Joe and Jack but most of all as the creator of the beautiful piece of sculpture on the pavement outside the church in Kildare town, to which I often brought my pupils to be inspired, before we attempted our work in clay. May he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Noel’s family. Mr scullion was a fantastic teacher such a wise and lovely man.
I recall one day in his art class I was very stressed and upset over my art work which didn’t look good. He told me that da Vinci was a great inventor and liked to invent different things and often times failed. However he told me that Da Vinci never looked at it as a failure but rather he learnt a new way of how not to do something. This lesson always stuck with me and I think about it and apply it to situations in my life.
Mr scullion was loved and respected by all of his students and has clearly made a big impact on many students.
RIP mr scullion

Noel was a legend. The impact he had on my life was truly massive. His support and guidance helped me get into art college. His class was always a perfect place to disappear into for an hour or two, to escape normal school.
We had some craic in that class, and I think without even realising it we were learning something too. A particular highlight was when the sun was shining and we did the class outside.
He was one in a million, and my deep condolences to his family and friends. He will live on in the beautiful art he made, and in our memories.
