Noel (Wannie) McConnell

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Noel, my sincere condolences to his dear family and friends. He was a pure gentleman we had some great chats over the years he will be dearly missed. May he RIP.

Sincere condolences to the extended Mc Connell families on the sad passing of Noel aka Wannie fondly remembered from growing up on the NCR under the shadows of Croke Park , as fellow members of SFX Boys Club in our teenage years alongside the Mc Connell dynasty and then over the past 50 years as near neighbors in the Ardmore/ Montrose estate where of course our paths regularly crossed. With his warm welcoming pleasant smile he was forever a wonderful gentleman. May He Rest In Peace.

My own Dad always spoke fondly of him; they shared many a round of golf together
and..it was Noel who put the "cosy-hearth" into my home when I moved from Donnycarney to Swords in '89.

Worked with Noel for years in Marble and Granite. Always a gentleman, there to help when he could . He always spoke so highly of his daughters. I will always remember him giving me a lift home when I got the news my own Mam had passed away suddenly , he would not let me drive . RIP Noel

Condolences to Noel’s family on his passing. I was very saddened to receive the news as I only sat with Noel in his house last week drinking tea and reminiscing on great times we had in marble & granite over the years. Well over 20 years working together we were always the best of friends. You’re kindness , wisdom and your sense of humour will always stay with me. You will be sorely missed Wannie by me and all who knew you . Heaven has just gained a legend. Rip me old pal.

A very accomplished golfer in fact he won my Captains Prize in Skerries GC in 1994. It was a pleasure to be in his company and will be sadly missed in Skerries RIP

Condolences to Noel’s family on his passing, I first met Noel in 1972 on a building site in Grace Park Rd in Drumcondra where he was a foreman for his cousins Sean & Syl McConnell (Grace Park Const Ltd) a very nice man,May he rest in peace.
