Nora was one our closest friends in Dublin during our posting at the US Embassy as Deputy Chief of Mission and Public Affairs Counsellor, 1998-2001. We cherished our frienship.

Nora's effervescence, acuity, and warmth were some of her many fine attributes. She always exuded a delicate warmth and sincerity.

Nora had a zest for life and we relished her wonderful house parties with her engaging friends. It was always a pleasure to invite her to our home on Mespil Road for official and unofficial events. She exemplified the best of the Irish and humanity.

It is with heavy hearts that we convey this message about a very very special person.

Our sincere condolences to Nora's family.

Nora visited and worked with the Reed and Mulligan law firm in Boston during the 80's. She has had great fans and friends in the legal community since then. She will be missed.
I only heard the very sad news. My deepest condolences to Nora's family and friends. My grandmother passed away in June she was a good friend of Nora's and always spoke about her in the highest regard. Nora told me at her funeral mass how fond she was of her. She was a lovely lady and will be a massive loss. May she rest in peace.
Our Deepest Sympathies at this very sad time
May Nora Rest in Peace
Very very sad loss. I worked for Nora, some time back, for a short while and I remember her warmth and kindness.
Thank you Nora!
I am so sorry. Sleep in peace dear Lady. Geraldine
I just heard the awful news and wish to add my deep condolences to Nora's family and friends at this tragic time. Nora was a lovely lovely person who helped me through a very bad time of my life and her advice and services were so much appreciated. May she rest in peace.
Though we had lost touch as adults, Nora was a dear childhood friend. Whenever I have thought of her over the years, the word 'kind' had been the first to come to mind.
My heart goes out to her sister Avril, and other family members and friends.
With our deepest sympathies at this dreadful time.
best,
Alan & Sean
