Sad goodbye to a much loved art pal.

Very sad news that Aunt Nora has taken the elevator up...as a child, I remember her visiting 'home' in Leitir, and helping Granny/Tony/Anna McAuley with the housework...also, the emotions when the dreaded time came to head back up to Dublin, and the teary eyes as their car drove off down the lane...those memories will always keep...my thoughts and prayers going out to all of the O'Brien family...as I know, you don't get over it, you just get on with it.

Our deepest condolences to Tony, Michael, Barbara, Ronan and the extended O Brien family on the passing of Nora. She has been our next-door neighbour for over thirty years, and it was our privilege to know this kindest and saintliest of ladies. She was always there to lend a hand and chat to us, and we exchanged gifts at Christmas. Nora was a fine Irish language speaker and could quote at will many verses from long-forgotten poems and songs. Despite the suffering she experienced in her own life we never heard her once complain and she displayed the most charitable and exemplary Christian values imaginable.
