Nora T Quinn

I offer my sincere sympathy to Fr. Denis and to all Nora's family. I was a colleague who shared lodgings with Nora in Glenties for a few years in the early 60s. A good part of her evenings was spent diligently correcting copies carried from school on her bicycle. I am glad to see the warm tributes from her students. Nora was one of the most honest, sincere, dedicated people Life has privileged me to know. I nglóir Dé go raibh sí ar feadh na síoraíochta.

My sincere condolences to the Quinn Family on the death of Nora (Miss) Quinn.

She was a dedicated and inspiring teacher, and we were fortunate indeed to have her as our school-principal in Drumnacrosh.

We regret that we are unable to travel to cousin Noras funeral mass tomorro but we shall offer our prayers here for the repose of her soul. Her life was one of service to the church and the communiy and it is nice to see it recognised by her past pupils in their generous tributes. I am very sorry to hear the sad news of the death of Nora . She was a wonderful teacher.She gave me a great love of English and Irish ,not to mention history and geography. What a dedicated teacher she was. Her lifes vocation spent educating and guiding us, her students, in our formative years, when she instilled her own core values in us. We didn't know then how lucky we were, hail, rain sleet or snow she was there. Hot cocoa & putting turf among the great memories of those times.
