Sincere condolences to Sean, Mairease, Myles, Angela and all the family on the untimely death of Norah. She will be long remembered for all the great work she did for the children of Ireland. I remember Norah from UCG days when we had such good days.

My deepest sympathy to Norah’s family and the many friends and colleagues who are grieving her loss. I only got to know Norah recently through work but she has certainly left her mark on me. I am privileged to have seen her mix of fire, compassion and wit at work. She’s a real loss and I wish I had known her longer.

Norah was such a fantastic champion for children and indeed for the vulnerable and marginalised generally. She was also great fun and a great friend. So sad could not be with her family at this time, but hope to be able to offer my sympathy in person soon.

I had the pleasure of meeting Norah on a number of occasions, through Women's Aid and the FSDHR. I was gutted therefore to hear of her death. Norah was so genuine a woman, strong, empathic, warm and caring. My heart breaks for all who knew and love her. RIP Norah, sleep safe with the angels, the world is a darker place without your light.

I had the privilege of meeting Norah on 2 occasions in relation to her recent work as Lead on the Familicide and Domestic Homicide Study. She was an incredible, hugely empathic person. I felt both listened to and heard (a very special skill!) during what were very difficult discussions.
She will be so very missed.

I only met Norah once at the Familicide and Domestic Homicide Study but during that time brief time she radiated huge warmth and understanding to myself and my sister. On behalf of myself and the EPIC staff team, I wish to extend our condolences to Norah's mother, husband and children and her extended family and friends. It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of such a marvellous advocate for the voice of children and a champion for children's rights.

It was my personal experience that ,despite her often onerous workload, Norah always had time to provide advice, support and guidance to anyone who needed it. Her humility, humour and generousity of spirit was matched by her deep commitment to children and her passion to make a difference in their lives.

She will continue to be an inspiration to me personally and to all those who had the pleasure to know her or work with her.

I was so sorry to learn of Norah’s death. She was such an inspiring woman, full of integrity
and a champion and advocate for children’s rights all her life . I admired her from a distant for a long time and then in more recent times got to know her well and shared many happy moments with her. The last occasion we met was at the Burren Law school where we spent time chatting outdoors in beautiful sunshine. She was passionate about the rights of children in relation to BOTH their parents irrespective of marital status of parents. Norah was very proud of Maireas and Myles and as we travelled up and down the country in the course of our work she spoke very fondly of them both.
