I was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden and untimely passing of Norah. Norah was a person of exceptional ability, a highly capable and effective administrator which came to the fore in her time as the long serving Parish Secretary in Askea - a title which doesn’t adequately do justice to the role and influence she had on parish life there. She was a consequential person and in terms of the work she did is truly irreplaceable.

On a personal level, I was honoured and glad to regard her as a friend - someone who was reliable and trustworthy, and I enjoyed her intelligence and wit whilst sharing her company on numerous social occasions.

Norah, may you now rest in peace - your work is done. You have left an example of hard work and dedication to parish life for others to follow.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Norah. For many years, Norah has been was a pillar of support within Rainbows Ireland giving time, energy, and compassion especially as part of the Rainbows team in Co Carlow.

Norah's dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment made a lasting difference to the Rainbows service and in turn to so many children and young people.
