Sincere condolences to all of Mrs Forde's family on her very sad passing. I remember Mrs Forde as a very kind, nurturing and caring Teacher who taught me in Senior Infants in Scoil Íde, Salthill in the early 80's. She instilled a love of Gaeilge, Irish culture, arts and creativity in all of us. I remember she entered us in a Slógadh competition as little 5 and 6 year olds, all decked out in our home-made Sailor outfits and we made our début in Taibhdhearc na Gailliimhe with a fabulous wooden boat and sang Báidín Fheilimí and other naval songs. She was ahead of her time and we won our Comórtas! An abiding and wonderful memory of a true Lady who had a lasting impact on all of us us who thrived under her safe and kind tuition and excellent care.

My deepest sympathy to all Noreen's children and extended Forde and Finn families on the loss of Noreen. She was a wonderful lady who I met when she taught in our school after her retirement. She was a frequent visitor to our school. May Noreen rest in eternal peace.

Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Noreen, she was such a lovely and gracious lady. A wonderful and kind teacher, she had a great love and knowledge of Irish culture. Like myself she had a great pride in being an Athenry native and she fondly remembered the friendship shared with my late sister Antoinette in the Presentation Convent. I greatly enjoyed meeting Noreen and her many stories and experiences, they were fascinating. She has now reunited with Brendan the true love of her life, they were a remarkable couple whose love story continues.

Only knew Mrs Forde as a customer in Tesco. Such a lovely gentle lady, enjoyed our chats when she popped into the shop and always spoke fondly of her grandchildren. ♥️
