Deepest condolences to the extended O'Keefe family on the sad passing of Noreen. I first met Noreen in January 1975 after she'd been appointed by the then fisheries minister to run the affairs of the Boyne fisheries board. Noreen was a great support and mentor to me in the salmon hatchery and helped me pave my career in the fisheries service. She was a dedicated public servant and wasn't afraid to have a hands on approach to her duties. Im glad to have kept in touch with Noreen in her retirement and enjoyed our annual Christmas meeting. A life well lived. May Noreen rest in peace
Sincere sympathy to the O'Keefe family on the passing of Noreen. She was a very dear friend of my late mother Rose.
Have many fond memories of nice times spent together.
She was a very talented lady with a great love for animals.

My Sincere condolences to all the O'Keefe family. My late Mum Rosemary Renehan Dwyer was a life long friend of Noreen. They met at the Loreto School in Kilkenny. Shared flats in Dublin. Noreen lived near Mum in Terenure. It is the end of an era. Noreen was such a lovely person. Enjoyed a lively debate.
Noreen loved all her family in Canada and the U.K.

My sincere sympathy to Noreen's family on her passing. I first met Noreen in 1980 when I went to work for her. She was well known for the help, support and mentoring she provided to those who worked with her, and I benefited from that also. We kept in touch over the years. Noreen's knowledge of her subject was legendary, principally in the areas of Inland fisheries and wildlife. Clearly, the working environment for women in those days was challenging, but it didn't stop Noreen. She ploughed ahead and got things done. Her dealings with some Government Ministers and politians was not for the fainthearted. I particularly remember Noreen at this time for her kindness, good company and for her great interest in her family. Ta do charn togtha agat Noreen agus go dtuga Dia suaimhneas siorai duit.
Our sincerest sympathy to all the O’Keefe Clan on Noreens passing.
Noreen was our next door neighbour and our friend for 40 years and was an integral part of our family life.
We enjoyed her company at all family events and festive occasions and particularly her singing and playing the piano.
May Noreen rest in peace.

I remember Noreen from when I grew up in Hannaville Park, Terenure. Noreen treated everyone so well, and even as young children she would stop and talk to us as we played. Our paths crossed again when I was older and Noreen was the same genuine person that I remembered, treating me again with so much authentic interest. My sympathies to all her family.
So very sad to hear that Noreen has passed. She was one of my first bosses in the civil service and was a wonderful role model. A woman ahead of her time, breaking glass ceilings for the rest of us. A formidable and accomplished woman but so very kind too and great company. I recall she spoke a lot of her brothers and sisters and particularly her nieces and nephews. My condolences to you all. Rest in peace now Noreen… a good life, well lived.
Noreen has been our Friend and Neighbour since we moved to Eaton Square 29 years ago.
She was a strong advocate for the Residents of Eaton Square for many years as Chair of the Residents Association. No one wrote more letters to the City Council than Noreen. She never gave up when work needed to be done around the Square.
A gracious Lady. We will miss you. Rest in peace.

So very sad to have picked up on Noreen's death notice. Noreen was one of a kind and in the civil service too where she gave such commitment and at a time when senior management levels were almost completely dominated by men and equality legislation in Ireland was virtually non existent. Her contribution over a long career in the Departments of Fisheries, Marine and in the Wildlife Service was immense and all of this happened during a period of great changes in the Irish Public Service. She was an inspiration and role model to so many of us women and where she saw a potential she was a wonderful mentor and friend. She was strong and determined but also had a beautiful sense of humour and was a very classy lady. Thank you Noreen for all you have done and rest in peace now from your long life so well lived. Condolences to Noreen's family of whom she spoke of so often, and to her former colleagues and friends. ❤️
Sending sympathy to all Noreen’s relatives and friends. Eternal rest grant unto her soul.
Rest in peace 🙏
