My heart goes out to you Anne, Marion and Carol at this very difficult time having been friends forever. Sean and Norman were like brothers as well as wonderful friends throughout life. Rest in peace Norman.

I have just heard with great sadness of Norman's death. I first met him in Garda Tennis Club in 1958/9. I met him again in Clontarf Golf Club. Norman was a true gent and a great friend. In every sence of the word a gentleman. My sincere condolences to Anne and his family. Des Soye

Sincere sympathy from myself and from all the "Class of 58". Norman will be sorely missed. He was indeed a "gentle soul" as described in the death notice.
I will be in touch with you and hopefully meet up when this horrible situation in which we find ourselves is over, and we will be released from "lockdown".
It would be great if we could have a means of knowing when his funeral service will be held. Many of the group will hope to attend.

Marion I am truly sorry to learn of the death of your dear Father who was an outright Gentle and great sports man. You are aware of my very long association with Norman going back to the 1940s in the Independent Tennis Club on the Navan Road and it was great to meet up with him again in Sutton LTC.

Deeply saddened to read of Norman's passing. A gentle man in the true sense of the word. Always pleasant to meet and talk to - he had strong opinions for which he was always respected. I shall remember him fondly from meetings in Dublin Airport.
