I was deeply saddened to hear of Norman's recent passing. My sincere condolences to all the Spencer family.

I had the pleasure of working with Norman at Dell, and he was always a true and genuine gentleman. He was consistently in good spirits, quick with a joke and a smile, and could give you a detailed, pass-by-pass account of every Everton match, even when you didn’t want one after an Everton victory in a Liverpool derby. He truly was one of the great ones, and I look forward to raising a glass in his honor.

Rest in peace, Norman.

So very sorry to hear of Norman's passing. Sincere sympathy to all the Spencer Family. I worked with Norman at Dell many moons ago and today I came across a little magnet which was one of the gifts from Norman and Team when I left Dell, it said "We can't call people without wings angels, so we call them friends". Norman was a great friend to many, always willing to take the time to help, especially when I asked several times if he would be a reference for me during my job changes - he never hesitated. Always took the time to ask about my family and so proud of all of his family. You have truly earned your wings now Norman. Fly high dear friend. We know that you'll be looking down as Everton next take to the pitch and no doubt enjoying a nice cold pint of Guinness. Rest easy friend.

I remember him from my time in Moscow Duty free and he was always willing to explain aspects of the computer systems that i was struggling to understand, always with a smile and kindness when i would ask questions! Deeply saddened to hear the news of Norman's passing.. He was a gentleman true-n-true.. Norman took a big chance hiring me into CSS back in 1988 (coming from 9 years in the Civil Service !) & he was the best Manager I've ever worked with in my 46 years to date... and we had some massive craic on the journey - Russia in particular.. the CSS XMas parties were spectacular.. My deepest sympathies to Helen, Stephen, Anita & Darren and extended family.. Never an easy time for sure - stay strong!. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
