I remember how proud she was at John's wedding and how proud Nuala was of all of her children, we had a little chat about being mothers and what that meant. Nuala was a gentle kind soul who was determined and gifted. I loved her cucumber salad when I went to Mary's for lunch that day - i had not had that since my own mother had died.
