Nuala Jordan
(née Harrington)

Mrs Jordan was the heart, soul & friendly face which we were so lucky to have in the office in Holy Child, Killiney.
She always allowed me use to the landline phone (well before mobiles were invented).
I’d say I ran up a huge bill!
Subsequently I’ve become a School Secretary & every time I meet a school friend, I’ve joked that I’m the new Mrs Jordan.
Seriously, her boots would have been very hard to fill, she was kind & calm.
We all honestly held her in the highest regard.
My mum Tess adored her & my sisters Aveen & Aisling (R.I.P.) & myself were so fond of her.
May Nuala’s gentle soul rest in Peace.

I was saddened to read of the death of Mrs. Jordan. I will always remember her smiling cheerful face greeting me on the way into school each morning. She always had a kind and warm word for everyone. A beautiful elegant lady. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Always a smiling presence in her tiny little office near the ‘old hall’. She had such a gentle way about her and never failed to say hello as I shouted out ’Hi Mrs Jordan!’ on my way past. Goodness knows how she ever got any work done! Deepest condolences to her family and friends.

The thoughts and prayers are with the Jordan and Harrington families on the death of your beloved Nuala. Nuala is remembered here in Holy Child Killiney with great fondness. She will be prayed for at our annual November Mass of Remembrance here in the School Chapel next week. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Nuala was one of the first ‘elder lemons’ that welcomed me into killiney golf club when I joined. Her beautiful spirit was immediately obvious and the warmth of her welcome remains with me. I misheard her name when we introduced ourselves and for months called her Lula. She never corrected me but laughed heartily when I told her I had learnt of my mistake. A gorgeous lady who will be missed by all of her great friends in killiney.

I was really sorry to hear about Nuala's passing. Nuala was always so good to us at Holy Child School even when we were up to no good! My Mother Shirley (who passed away in February of this year) was so fond of Nuala and they always had the chats at her little office at the front door. Keeping an eye on us all!
