It is with heartfelt sadness I have learned of Nuala’s passing. She was a lovely lady & friend while I lived in Enniskeane. Just recently a member of the walking club commented on the fabulous scones she provided for their walk just a month ago. Nuala will be sadly missed by her neighbours especially Rose. It is with great sadness that we just learned this evening of Nuala’s sudden death. Nuala was a wonderful lady, kind and generous with a warm and welcoming smile. Very sad to hear of Nuala's passing. I have good memories of Nuala coming to work in my mother's shop in Lancaster Quay, Cork and also to help take care of me and my brothers and sisters. Have great memories of Nuala in Collins' Shop Western Road in the 70's. She was an extraordinary hardworking and pleasant lady. It was lovely meeting her again years later at Kilmurry mass. Nuala our dearest friend and extension of our family will forever be missed in Munigave.

I have such fond memories spent with Nuala over the years. From as a young child visiting Nuala and her mom, to more recent times taking Nuala and my own mom out for a spin.

Nuala was the kindest neighbour. Always there to lend a hand and always up for a chat. She loved it when I called in with my dog Luna. Her love for animals evident by the copious amount of dog treats always close at hand.
She was so hospitable, you could never call into Nuala's without having a cup or something stronger.

Whenever there was a special occasion in our house there was always a place at the table for Nuala. She was a very dear friend to my mom. They went most places together and were always on the phone to each other even if they only saw one another five minutes ago!

It is evident that not only our family will miss her but our whole community will miss Nuala immensely. Nuala was so heavily involved in many community groups. Volunteering, giving of her time and mathematical talents to help fundraise for many charities throughout her lifetime.

I came under Nuala's tutelage in the shop on Western Road when my mother decided to put me to work in order to keep me 'out of harm's way'. I was in awe of Nuala's way with the customers, her incredible mathematical ability (no till, pounds/shillings & pence), her coolness and confidence under intense pressure sometimes, her business acumen and her great wit. She was a GOOD person and she was her OWN person, always. Slán abhaile anois a Nuala.
