Dear Richard, Linda, Jenny, Nicky and Mike,
what a beautiful send off for a beautiful lady. Olga would have loved today- you did her proud- every detail was perfect- her spirit was very much there directing proceedings.
Much has been said about Olga’s welcome- her ability to detect a newby and make them feel at home.
That is exactly how we met Olga- new to Ireland, Dalkey, the parish-we were the lucky ones-we sat in the pew behind Olga and Richard at church and when they turned to welcome us and heard the northern accents there was immediate connection.
Olga loved language and delighted in the northern irish colloquialisms-long forgotten by her-that we would subconsciously drop into conversation!
She was a true friend to us, a beautiful kind soul that looked after us as if we were her own.
Coffees in the cosy sitting room in winter or the verdant garden in summer in her beloved ingle cottage were weekly treats.
Gorgeous home cooked family dinners-with Richard topping up the wine-followed by fun and competitive board games-they all have a special place in our family story.
Olga was our neighbour, our friend and she and Richard were our surrogate family.
We loved her and will miss her beautiful soul, her curious mind and her generous spirit.
Thank you all for the privilege of sharing in today,
love always,
Corrinna, Richard, Cormac, Aran, Lorcan, Aoife and Cara. Xx

To all the Stewart family, I extend my deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your wife and mother Olga. I remember her fondly.
Fond childhood memories of Olga in Hollypark (and occasional teacher in All Saints!). Condolences to all the family.
Sincere condolences to Richard and the family on Olga’s death.I got to know Olga and Richard when visiting my family in Dalkey. They made me feel most welcome, going out of their way as the most helpful and kind neighbours, both to my family and to me. Olga was a bright light in every sense , clever, capable and caring. I will miss seeing her on my visits there.
So very sorry to learn the sad news of Olga's death. I had the honour of knowing her both socially and professionally; in latter years as a tourist guide but originally on "Wednesday Club" outings with the parish. One notable one to the beach near Arklow where the more lively members played sand cricket and the rest of us had a good chat. Olga and Richard gave me valuable practical advice and support when I was planning my first Intrepid trip to India. May she rest in peace and may Richard and the rest of the family know that they are in the thoughts of so many people at this very difficult time. Another bright light extinguished.
I would like to extend my most sincere sympathy to Richard and the extended family on Olga's passing. She was always a loyal member of St Patrick's, and active in a wide range of parish activities. She always made contact with any new faces in the congregation and made them welcome. We miss her and pray she will now Rest in Peace..
My deep condolences to Richard and family on the sad death of Olga, always so beautifully dressed. I enjoyed our annual picnic outings with the group of children from Smyly's.
Deepest sympathy to Richard family and friends on the death of Olga a longtime and valued member of. Dalkey Library Bookclub.
