Dear Lesley, Karen and Lynda, I was so sad to hear of the death of your beautiful mother. Growing up next door, your mother was my first experience of a lady. I was always so impressed by her ladylike manners, grace and fashion. I was also highly impressed by her great routine and hardworking determination, that kept your lovely home so immaculate and pristine.
The last time I met her was in Raheny maybe 2 years ago. Your mother, Mrs. Clinton, Lorraine and myself had a coffee. I was so pleased to see her. And thoroughly enjoyed the chat which was marked by her great character and dry wit. She was as truly herself as my ten year old self remembered her, and still the complete lady.
So I know, your loss is great. And I send my sympathies to each of you, but especially to my old friend, Karen. I send my love and sympathies for the passing of the beautiful lady next door. xxx
