RIP “Auntie” Olive
We are heartbroken at the passing of our beloved “Auntie” Olive.
There are endless memories of her kindness, her warmth, and her sharp and always funny wit — she had a way of touching everyone she met. Wherever Olive was, there was always a great welcome, the kettle on the boil, and sandwiches that seemed to appear out of nowhere and never run out.
We will hold forever in our hearts the chats around the table, the laughter echoing through the rooms, and the stories that could fill the night.
A heartfelt thanks to Lorraine and Ken for the love and care they gave her right to the end.
Olive’s spirit will live on in our stories, our hearts, and the love she shared so freely. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of “Auntie” Olive. She was a woman whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of everyone around her. Uncounted memories and laughter from King St, Bridgefoot St and of course Wexford St, where we wondered if the building might collapse after Olive arranged a shortcut (tunnel) between 2 rooms by way of the main supporting wall, and then on to the warmth of Gray Square, where there were always a cuppa and never-ending sandwiches. I will always cherish the memories we shared, from our heartfelt conversations to the laughter we enjoyed together. In this difficult time, please know that our thoughts are with Marie and Philly and all who held Olive close. Special thanks to Lorraine and Ken who looked after her so well. Olive's spirit will live on in our hearts, and her love will continue to inspire us.
RIP Olive….

It was always a treat to visit her lovely house growing up, we had loads of fun and plenty of sweets. She was simply the best, Gray Square won't be the same without her.
