I first met Dorgan about 9 years ago at a hurling match, he soon became a member of our team (Mike Meade referee and umpiring team)he soon started umpiring matches the length and breath of Munster with us. We had many a great chat and a laugh with Dorgan on way to the games. Many a yarn can be told about these trips since. He was a true Gael and was known by players and supporters all over the place. We stood at many hurling posts together and I am glad to have gotten to known a great character and friend, forever in our thoughts Oliver may you rest in peace.

My sincere sympathies to Aaron and all the Dorgan family of Carrig na bhfear and all in Carrig na bhfear GAA club.
I first met Ollie at half time of the Galway v Cork National League Final in 2010 - we exchanged names. A year later I was playing for the Tipp minors vs Cork in Thurles - after the game Ollie approached me having remembered my name from the year previous. We exchanged numbers at this point and since then we have spent many an hour chatting about hurling (the good & the bad), politics and sprituality (and everything in between!).
Ollie was a true gael and a great friend (even though there was nearly 40 years of an age gap between us) and I am very grateful that we crossed paths. Rest in peace old Friend.
