Oliver was an incredible giving person , he was the epitome of old Ireland , a businessman who didn’t care if you shopped or just came in for a chat , he was a counselor and a social worker , a doctor , a vet and a friend to everyone who was lucky to open his door.

Oliver was very gracious to me when I visited several years ago from connecticut
He gave me a tour of the old homestead
I had tea with Mary and kids in their home
I am sure he will be greatly missed
My grandmother Mary mcgrail was Oliver’s sister and I think the first to go to America Love

Just seen this notice now....so sorry to read this sad news. Deepest sympathies to Mary and family and Oliver's many friends. The condolences just about sum up this lovely gentleman and his many and varied gifts and talents. I have very fond memories from childhood when visiting my grandparents and uncle in Kilduff, we would also call to Oliver's house and of course shop in Newbridge. What lovely memories I have from those visits! May Oliver rest in eternal peace.

Oliver was an absolute treasure to his extended American family. No trip to Ireland was complete without a visit with him and Mary. He always had time to fill you in on family history over a cup of tea, Then jump in the car and give you a personal guided tour of the area and places of significance to his cousins.
