Sincere sympathies to Marie and all the Nolan family on the passing of Oliver. A true gentleman.

May he rest in peace
Condolences to all the Nolan family on the passing of Oliver.
I was lucky enough to be taught by Oliver in Cashel and his classes were always a highlight of the day.
He was a kind, funny, and caring teacher who instilled a love of literature and poetry in all his students, and treated everyone with such respect and fairness.
His reading of Heaney and Hugh Leonard are vivid still. RIP
Such a kind and gentle man

I have so many happy memories of taking part in several of the plays that he directed in secondary school in the 1980s ..joint ventures between the convent and the CBS.

Whenever I hear the Playboy of the Western world or the importance of being earnest being mentioned I always think of Mr Nolan.

He was always so patient with us all and got the best out of everyone.
Condolences to all of his family and may he rest in peace.
