Deepest sympathy to the Devlin family on the death of Plunkett. When he left Newry we thought it was the end of the world but he returned to Dundalk to look after the local Greyhounds and he patiently put up with our very spoilt Pekingese from he was a pup until he put him to sleep over 15years later.
Plunkett was a gentleman and a wonderful vet…. May he rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Plunkett. A most treasured friend of my dad, Seamus Graham. He worked pure magic on ‘Dipmac’ the dog dad trained to win the 1984 greyhound derby and they remained friends and Plunkett was a frequent visitor to our home. Our heartfelt condolences to the Devlin family. May Plunketts gentle soul rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of looking him in fish shop. He was one of my favourite customers always had a smile and a story to share with me.

My sincerest condolences to Peter, Colin, Sharon, Padraig, Lorraine and all the family. Plunkett has been a true friend to all the family since we met many years ago. He always went above and beyond in a professional sense with his expertise and his time. But it is the person he was that I will miss the most. The 'stories' of days gone by, the small nuggets of advice and sense that he gift-wrapped especially for you, on a given day. But most of all how he treated people. He treated everyone equally with real humanity and respect and probably saved his best for those who needed it most. Rest in peace Plunkett.

Plunkett was one of nature's gentlemen who brought joy and happiness wherever he went. The esteem with which he was held by greyhound owners and trainers was most apparent when he attended a race meeting.
I was glad for Plunkett's sake that it was Tyrone who won the 2021 All Ireland football final.
He is back with his beloved Marie and no doubt at peace.
