Ollie travelled from Cork to participate in the Homecoming Ceremony of Martin O'Meara's Victoria Cross to Lorrha on 13th August 2022.
Ollie participated in the Ceremony, placing a wreath in his role as President of the Royal Munster Fusiliers Association.
The Committee acknowledges, with thanks, Ollie's support for that memorable event.
The Committee also sympathises with the Royal Munster Fusiliers Association on the sad loss of its President.

I have fond memories of Ollie giving my mam his beautiful home-grown tomatoes and apples in summertime.
But the best of all was New Years Eve when Ollie would come out and play his bagpipes in the square at midnight, the highlight of the night for all the neighbours.
