Very sincere condolences to all Olwyn’s family and many friends . I did not know Olwyn but from what I’ve learned she was an exceptional human being . She made a positive difference with her life . I have seen her paintings and she could have been a professional artist ! Beautiful stunning work ! Better than some of the professionals !She certainly brightened up my life with her art !! She touched many peoples lives and I too am sorry our paths never crossed . What a beautiful soul . I’m sorry I couldn’t make her funeral but I have said a prayer for her gentle soul . We shared many happy times on the Dundalk golf course and she talked of her loving family and of her beloved dogs - even showing me photos of some of the favourite dogs displayed on walls in her home. I was saddened to learn of olwyns passing. I knew olwyn when she worked with the regional adoption service in drogheda. She radiated kindness and thoughtfulness. I worked with Olwyn in Newry in the 70’s and later had the good fortune to work with her again when she joined The Regional Adoption Service in Drogheda . I wish to offer my sincere condolences to Olwyn’s family & friends . Whilst to my great loss I never had the privilege of meeting Olwyn . However , I am familiar with her art and her work was outstanding. She was an accomplished artist, most probably one of the best local artists I’ve seen. She had a distinctive style and was technically brilliant . She was held in the highest regard by all who knew her and she had so much of offer in many spheres . She contributed so much to her community and there will be an empty space now that only she could fill . Her artwork lives on . May Olwyn’s soul rest in peace in Heaven . I wish I had met her .
