I am so sorry for both my tardiness in offering this condolence and, of course, for the sudden and unexpected loss of my aunt Orla. However, I am still in shock at her passing, so I cannot even begin to imagine how John, Holly, and all of Orla’s family are feeling.

Orla was the youngest of my aunts, and I have such fond memories of her and John being out at the same nightclubs I went to when I was younger. I even bumped into them a few times at the Crowing Cock, and those moments always made me smile.

It is with immense sadness that I heard of her passing, and also of the fact that I am unable to be there in person to support my uncle John and cousin Holly through this time of deep grief and sorrow.

I was so fortunate to meet with Orla on the occasions I visited Standard Brands. I was always struck by her can do attitude coupled with a fun and warm personality. I know the huge amount of respect that Denis and the wider Standard Brands had for Orla; she will leave such a void in your lives. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends at this incredibly difficult time but I assure you she will not be forgotten by her work family.

I'm heartbroken to hear of Orla’s passing. It’s so hard to put into words how much she’ll be missed. She brought such genuine warmth, kindness, and laughter into every room, and I feel incredibly lucky to have known and worked with her.

Orla often spoke about her family with such deep love and pride, it was always clear how much she adored you all.

I was privileged to have worked alongside Orla for the past 5 years. In that time she became a go to person for help, support and advice, every conversation ending with a joke, an old saying or a laugh.

We met most mornings in the kitchen at breaktime when the chat was fun and varied but alway included Orla's beloved family past and present, with regular mention of her late Mam, Dad and sister.

To John, Holly, Adam, Colette, Declan, Michele, Bernadette, Martina, Imelda, Christina and to all Orla's extended family, neighbours and friends sincerest sympathy, Orla will be sadly missed in all our lives.

I always said to Orla you should be on TV, her stories on a Monday morning of the weekend antics would always have me in stitches. Orla loved life but more than that she absolutely loved her family and would do anything for them. She was one of the most kind hearted people i knew. There are so many things i will miss about Orla, she was my workmate, my ukulele buddy, my parents next door neighbour but most of all my friend. You will be missed beyond words Orla but your memory will forever be in our hearts. Rest easy my friend xxx

I worked with Orla as the Managing Director of Standard Brands for a years until I left in February 2024.
Orla was a ray of sunshine, lifting the spirits of everyone she worked with and was exceptionally good at her job.
I always enjoyed catching up with her when I was on site and her unrivalled enthusiasm always left me with a smile on my face. She is a huge loss to Standard Brands and the Castlebellingham community.
