Orla was an inspirational friend to me as she helped me doing athlete leadership program bronze award for special Olympics and Often thought of an idea for athletes to go to cinema etc for a social life outside of training which we used to enjoy, that was so long time ago now . She was amazing woman with witt myself and special Olympics will miss her so much, and i Will try come to month mind. Thinking of you all with these tough times

What can one say about the wonderful Orla, in her own words "I am a miracle". Orla was more than a miracle, she was an angel amongst us, we just could not see her wings. It was a pleasure to see her grow from a child into a beautiful women, she overcame so many obstacles in life. As Seamus said on her wedding day, "if Orla came up against a wall she could not climb, she removed brick by brick till she could walk through the wall". I considered it a privilege to have known this lovely human being who was one of life's angels. My deepest sympathies to all those who loved Orla. It was deeply shocking to hear of Orla's passing. Orla inspired so many of us with her ambition, her wit, her fortitude and her immense ability to overcome the many obstacles that life threw at her. She will be forever remembered as one of the strongest characters to have touched our lives.
