REST IN PEACE OWEN. WE ALWAYS GOT A GREAT WARM WELCOME WHEN WE WENT INTO COLMCILLES. SORELY MISSED

Owen’s untimely death has saddened me and I regret that commitments prevented me from shaking each of you his family’s hands and being with you in Ballyfarnon and Crossna.
He came to so many events in the parish of Ardcarne down the years and his engagement with one and all was fulsome and upbeat.
Owen was so hospitable in Dublin too and I record my gratitude to you Margaret as well.
Owen’s name is on the Hospital altar for mass time, these days, and will remain in my heartfelt prayers for many’s a day. May all of us his family, his neighbors and friends be brought through this grieving for Owen in a gentle way.

May Owen rest in peace eternally.

I am so saddened to hear of Owen's passing. He lit up the room when he walked in. I loved when Owen would be up in Fostra, he always had the warmest smile and most cheeky words. Very sad to hear the news of Owens passing. I had the privilege of working with Owen when i started my apprenticeship. Always laughing and joking around the site busting everyones chops. A gentleman and an absolute war horse when he got to work. My thoughts are with Owen's family during this difficult time.

From once I could see over the counter in Shivnan’s I was greeted with a big hug and a ‘howaya me aul flower’ from one of the nicest, kindest, funniest gentlemen ever to set foot in the door. Owen was so good to his neighbours in Fostra bringing them ‘on tour’!
