Owen Doyle

I am so sorry to hear of Owen’s passing. Like others who have posted here, I met Owen when I started work as a lecturer in Carlow rtc in the 1990’s. Owen, by that time, was a senior member of the lecturing staff & held in the highest esteem by colleagues and students alike. Notwithstanding, he was so welcoming and supportive of me and other new/young staff members and always great company over a cup of tea. A class act in every way. Sincere condolences to Owen’s family & friends.

I was so saddened to hear of Owen's passing. Despite his academic achievements at Oxford University he retained a sense of humility which is rare in these current times. A thoroughly decent human being. Sincere condolences to his family.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Owen Doyle. We have very fond memories of our stay with Owen. He was such a dear and interesting man, so full of love and knowledge of his beloved Graig. He will be deeply missed.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of visits to Graiguenamanagh to visit Uncle Owen. Walks along the Barrow, card games, and apple pie. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to those who were fortunate enough to know him best.

Owen was a lovely man and a great lecturer. He was so supportive and approachable. I still remember his kindness thirty years after graduating. RIP Owen and condolences to his family.
