Sandra and family,
I was devastated to hear of Owens passing. I started in the film industry 11 years ago and it was an intimidating place. Owen always protected me and made sure I was looked after. He went out of his way and was a source of peace and calm on set and was like a big brother to me. My thoughts are with you and the whole family.

Phil and Sean, it was with shock we learned of Owen’s sad passing. I can’t believe how devastating this must be for you both and his wife and children.

So sad for you and kids . He has left you with great memories and had a big open heart. He was real and I enjoyed our chats. He spoke so highly of you and kids and was so proud of his kids. He connected in a very real way. He was one of a kind .

Owen you took over the job as my big brother after Derek was killed and I wish you were still my big brother, both of you will always be my big brothers and nothing will ever change that. I hope you are looking down one your beautiful kids Oisin, Sam, Harry and Emily. You will be missed by all and will forever be in our hearts and in our thoughts.

I was new to the film industry and sick with nerves before I got on-set. Once there it was a even worse, eveyone looked so professional and cool. Owen greeted me and made me feel calm from the get-go. His gentle professionalism and sense of fun got me through those early days. After that, I'd look forward to seeing his grin as I'd appear on set and it would be followed by a hug. Everything was 'OK' once he was there. I'll always remember his grin as I said the immortal 'That's perfect, can we go again' line for the for the first cliched time.

Owen, that was perfect. Can we go again? xxx

Dear Sandra & family,
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Owen. I am proud to have worked under Owen on and off for almost 10 years. He thought me so much in a patient and kind manner. His unwavering professionalism, positivity and great big smile lifted everyone around him on set.
I will miss our long chats at work or on the phone. Our conversations would often come back to fatherhood. He spoke of his family with such love and pride. That was always inspiring. He was a great colleague and friend and I’ll miss him. My thoughts are with you during these sad days.

How very saddened I was to hear of your passing. I’d have loved to have met you. Marie spoke so highly about you.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this ,Owen as we all know will be so missed by us all both inside and outside of your family,

He was so highly thought of as you can see by the the condolences left . Owen was one of those people who made a difference ,was always smiling and in an upbeat mood, he will be a great loss to us all.

I was so saddened to hear of Owens passing. Owen took me under his wing when I was starting out as a camera assistant. He showed me the ropes, but always with patience and good humour. We continued working together on commercials for a few years and I remember that period very fondly. Owen & I decided to co-direct a short documentary a few years back and we had such a laugh during the whole process. And the film turned out pretty well too. I’ll miss Owen and my deepest sympathies go out to Sandra and the kids.

I was so sorry to hear of Owen’s passing. He was a smart, funny, wonderful guy who was always quick with a kind word of encouragement or a pearl of wisdom whenever I was lucky enough to work alongside him.

I wish I could be there to express my condolences in person, but I know I speak for many other friends and colleagues of Owen’s when I say that our thoughts are with you all at this terrible time.

Words seem so redundant right now. Death when unable to celebrate the life of someone who shone so brightly together as a community just feels wrong. But I know also that the words of those who knew and loved Owen in the other parts of his life will bring comfort and memories to family when they’re needed.

He was always ready with a winning smile, a cheeky comment, always positive, always giving his everything to make the job work, and generous to a fault when asked to help with something for charity.

We’ll miss him. The thoughts of all of us in Pull the Trigger are with you.

Hello Sandra,
My heart goes out to you and the kids. This is such a huge loss. Such a lovely, warm, sweet and kind man Owen was - I worked with him for many years on commercials and he was always a delight, a pal and a lovely presence on set, as well as being brilliant at his job. I can tell you that there is a huge community of people mourning his loss with you, and wishing we could all gather to honour and celebrate his life, and yours. It was always such a joy and good fun to work with Owen at weddings in Spain. Such a lovely man who loved his family so much and spoke out them with so much love and joy. What a sad loss to so many, especially of course to his beautiful family. All the best to Sandra, Sam, Harry and Emily. x

We were so very sorry to learn of Owen's passing, we both worked with Owen over the years and he was such a lovely guy. His passion for his photographic work was amazing and he excelled at it.
