It is with great shock and sadness that i learned today of the sad passing of PJ.I wish to extend my deepest and heartfelt sympathies to his wife Mary ,his daughters Susan, Emer & Claire and to his sister Mary and the extended families on the sad loss of your beloved PJ. I have very fond memories of working with PJ over the years on the Amphicat Row Committee and his great desire to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis and the other charities involved. The row became a major yearly event and went on to raise several hundred thousand euro for the many participating charities largely down to the drive, trojan work and support provided by PJ. He was an absolute gentleman, caring, generous with his time and a man of many talents who went about his business in a quiet and efficient manner. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his gentle and kind soul rest in peace.

It is with sadness that I learned of the untimely passing of PJ.
Gentleman and innovator are often-overused word but certainly not so in the case of PJ.
He set up his early business, Rom Plastics at a very depressed time in Ireland giving much needed employment to so many who otherwise would have ended up emigrating. He was so proud seeing his many products wearing the “Guaranteed Irish” badge. His legacy lives on in the many people he helped, inspired, and worked with over the years, I thankfully being one of those.
PJ was a devoted family man and contributed much to many good causes.
