My sincere condolences to Kieran,Sheila,Ann, Brian, Paddy’s extended family especially his neighbours and friends from his beloved Co. Clare and Seaview Park, Portrane.

Very fond memories from my Childhood and into Adulthood of Paddy. A deep connection with my own Grandfather from Co. Clare, the mutual love of hurling, the strong sense of neighbourliness, building up and supporting your own local community and his lifetime of work at St. Ita’s Portrane. Paddy of course had a great passion for both local and National politics and of course gave a lifetime of service to the Fianna Fáil party during great days and not so great days . A very, quiet unassuming man but yet a very wise man at the same time. Great memories as a young chap travelling to matches with Brian in various sports but Paddy was never more animated than coming home from an hurling game with his wise analysis yet deep down his bursting with pride of Brian who was always an outstanding performer on the pitch, especially in hurling. Paddy’s passion for Golf almost matched his passion for his beloved Co. Clare and I will always remember his pride and happiness at Clare’s All Ireland successes in more recent times.

He lived a full life and is reunited now with his beloved wife Mary.

An absolute gentleman, he will be greatly missed by Kieran, Sheila, Ann and Brian. Thinking of you all at this very sad time. May Paddy’s gentle soul rest in peace.
