Sincere condolences to all who will miss Paddy. I got to know Paddy many years ago, while visiting my grandmother in John's Square (Christine Farrell) He was a lovely man and always had time for a chat and would ask "how are you getting on in school?". Throughout the years that have passed since first meeting him nearly 30 years ago, he has always remembered me and in more recent years, the conversations were about my own children. Paddy was a gentleman and will be missed from the shop windows in Portlaoise and by all the friends he had in town, he was a household name and I'm sure he will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Paddy.
