Pat was one of life’s true gentlemen, one of the good guys. The sort of man who leaves an imprint long after you’ve moved on. You might not realise it in the moment, but later you understand that his steady presence and kindness had become part of the fabric of your day, your routine, your life. He did that for us young ones working in Dunnes during our college years. If the meaning of life can be measured by the lives we touch, then Pat’s was a life profoundly well lived. He leaves behind not noise, but impact. Not spectacle, but substance. In the memories of those who knew him, his gentleness endures. Rest easy Pat. A greatly loved character that will be so missed. Love and prayers to all Pat's family at this sad and difficult time.
