I worked with Paddy back in the fifties in Kavanagh Brothers and his great sense of humour would light up every day and he was a pleasure to work alongside.
He has remained a great friend ever since. I think of his wife Martha daughter Amanda with fondness

I got to know Paddy well, when he worked with my dad (Pat Lyons) rewinding motors from our house on the Dublin Road, back in the seventies.
Paddy was a larger than life character, full of stories and would keep you entertained all day.
So sorry to hear of his passing.

So sorry to read of your Dad's passing. He was a good loyal friend to my late father, and we recall many happy memories of both men discussing matters over a cuppa, and the sounds of laughter much to the fore.

The Bed of Heaven to Paddy. The Fortune family were our friends and neighbours in St. Anthony’s Tce, Bohermore. His beautiful wife Martha (O’Gorman) and her family were and are lifelong friends.
