Condolences to Paddy’s family. Just heard the news today. I only met Paddy once and that was in the Dublin dressing room after the 1963 Leinster final. I was only a kid and Paddy gave me a bottle of lemonade. After that he was always one of my favorite players. Sixty years later I still remember his kind gesture and smiling face. Great memories of Paddy training in O'Toole Park, Crumlin before the big matches. May his loving soul rest in peace.

Elaine, Niamh, Ashling, John, Andy, Paddy’s adored grandchildren Naomi, Carl, Sarah, Emma, Zoe, Órlaith, Grace, Holly, Bronwyn and Megan, his sister Maureen, brother Joey, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of neighbours & friends,
Greatly saddened to learn of Paddy’s passing especially coming not too long after the passing of his beloved wife Gertie,
I only knew of Paddy but from what I heard and read of him he was an outstanding family man, Sportsman, Worker, Neighbour and so much more but did all this as an out and out gentleman.
He packed a lot into life especially around GAA and Golf and was a genuine true legend of Dublin GAA. I also believe growing up in Cabra he too was an accomplished Soccer player along with his good friend Mickey Whelan but it was Dublin GAA that won him over.
Very much thinking of you all at this sad & difficult time but remember Paddy for a life long and well lived. He is reunited with his son Alan, taken so tragically and so young as well as the love of his life Gertie,
May Paddy’s gentle kind soul rest in peace, 💔🙏
