Words are not enough to express my condolences.

As a small girl I would run to nana and grandad’s ringing phone in case it was Paddy and I could say hello.

The beep of the van passing on the road was always a distinct one.

The visits to a house where the heat from the fire would hit you walking in.

I’d always gawk into the house when walking or driving past to see if I could get a bit of chat.

To watch the friendship Paddy had with Grandad was a privilege.

From Sunday nights in Keel,
to Mart days down in Milltown,
we shared the road, the stories, the laughter.

Evenings in the East End Bar with Noreen,
and long days among the sheep,
a phone call here and there,
though we were never far apart.

Foileye waters calling us to cast a line,
the kind of moments that stay with you,
long after the day is done.

So mind my boy Kevin for me,
and keep a place by the fire,
until we meet again,
and share another quiet moment,
in Kells.

Rest in Peace Paddy. Sincere sympathies to all. We loved to see him coming along the road, he would always give us a spin on our walk back from the school bus. A lovely friendly neighbour who will be missed by all in Kells.

Sending sincere sympathy to Noreen & all Paddy's nieces & nephews on his death. He was a lovely kind gentleman & a great neighbour, I have great memories of Paddy ferrying your Mam Rita & myself around to dances in Killorglin, Killarney, Tralee & even Ballybunion in our youth. We had great craic & enjoyed his stories on the journeys.
May the Lord have mercy on his gentle soul & may his soul now rest in eternal peace in Heaven Amen.

Paddy was a true gentleman and lovely gentle person.
Many happy memories of Paddy working on the road, as a cleaner. A great sheep man in his Blue truck.May at time to his home with hay for the sheep, God what characters were up that road, friends and not such good friends, but all gone now to their eternal rest, hope they meet each other.
