We came to Carricknamoghill in 2006 to see more of our grandsons Thomas and James. Those years were the happiest of times, surrounded by wonderful neighbours like Paddy. Feeding the lambs and hay making with Paddy are memories they will treasure for ever. He was a kind and generous man and we will miss him. Carricknamoghill has lost one of its best. RIP.

Paddy's gentle and modest manner hid the stamina, grit and determination he deployed when the starter's pistol sounded. Though his race is now run, he will be fondly remembered by his running mates in Killybegs AC; our strongest man by a country mile.
